Software Repair - OS installation, blue screen, crash, dll errors, registry errors etc

We can properly diagnose your computer at no cost (free diagnostics) after running a number of tools to establish whether your PC is suffering from software  issues or hardware failure. Most software issues can be resolved without having to lose your important documents and files. We can handle any software issues with ease, be that the dreaded blue screen of death or missing .dll errors. We can repair corrupt registry or restore one from backup. We can repair your web browser and troubleshoot other software errors such as user interface errors, codec errors, software bugs, software updates and other software related issues. If your operating system requires re-installation, we can fully reload it for you, including all drivers as long as you can provide us the installation media that came with your computer. If you do not have recovery disk / media that came with your computer, we can help you establish the proper licensed operating system that belongs on your PC. Any PC sold and bundled with a copy of Windows, will have a Microsoft COA (Certificate of Authenticity).

Backup, preventative maintenance, cleaning and data transfer

Backing up your valuable information is the best way to insure that your pictures, documents and other important files are not lost in an event of a computer crash. Too often, we have seen years worth of family pictures and business documents lost to a hard drive crash or a nasty bug. In some cases, we were able to recover all the files using our advanced data recovery techniques, however, in an event of complete hard drive failure your data may be lost permanently. Standard data recovery services are covered by our Platinum repair package. However, if the hard drive is physically bad, it has to be sent out to a clean lab, where your bill can run upwards of $1,500 and provides no guarantee of recovered information. Backing up is a single, most important thing that you and your company should be doing on weekly, if not daily basis.  We can assist in obtaining proper backup media (usually an external USB hard drive (approx. $100)) and properly setting up automated backups. Please note, that home backup systems are only limited to backing up user generated data such as documents, pictures and favorites. We also can assist you in backing up the whole Windows installation which will allow an almost immediate recovery including your software and user settings. This option is recommended for businesses that have mission critical data, and can not afford any downtime. Additional software or hardware may be required for this option. If you need information transferred from an old computer to a new one, we can handle such transfers with ease. Transferring data from Mac to PC and vice-versa is only covered by our Gold Service package.

In addition to backing up your files, we can perform necessary scheduled maintenance that will insure trouble free operation. Forgotten or lost BIOS, administrator, system or account passwords

As it always happens, your five year old hits the delete key and gets into the low level CMOS (BIOS) set up screen. Inadvertently, they set a password. Now your system greets you with a password prompt, every time you turn your computer on. With many systems, removing a low level system password can be done with relative ease. With laptop computers, however there is no work around or simple method for removing such passwords. Often times, we can locate the proper system board pins and reset the passwords without having to take the computer apart. In fact, 90% of all system passwords can be removed in under 15 minutes. Occasionally, a laptop has to be completely disassembled, to create and solder on a jumper wire which resets system settings including all passwords. In these cases, low lever repair is covered by our platinum service ranging from $99-$149 depending on complexity. All other passwords, including all Windows password resets are covered by the silver flat rate repair service package. In addition we providepassword removal or retrieval services for other applications such as MSN messenger, Aol Messenger, Outlook passwords, Quickbookspasswords, Excel passwords, zip file passwords, Internet Explorer saved form passwords, existing but forgotten wireless keys for WEP and WPA wireless network cypher as well as password removal services for other popular applications. You must be the owner of equipment being serviced and present a valid ID for some password retrieval services due to statutory requirements. Please note that the Hard Drive TPM passwords can not be recovered on most models and the drive will usually have to be replaced. Such recovery is possible through other methods covered by the Platinum Service package.
